Ontario MTO-approved Online Beginner Driver Education BDE Course

‌Ontario MTO-approved Online Beginner Driver Education BDE Course‌

What is the difference between in-class Beginner Driver Education and Online Beginner Driver Education courses?

There is NO DIFFERENCE. The Beginner Driver Education (BDE) is 40 hours (30 hours theory and 10 hours in-car) of a driver training program approved by the Ministry of Transportation Ontario (MTO). This course is offered by driving courses located in Ontario both in-class and online. The Online BDE is just the alternative method of the in-class curriculum. It provides studying regardless of location and time. The most important point is becoming eligible to take the G2 road test (G1 exit test) 4 months earlier and have a discount on your insurance upon completion of the course. Master Driving School (Master Drivers) offers online BDE that is a self-paced course and is available 365/24/7. See details here.

How do I get an online BDE certificate?

Get in touch with us or see our BDE packages, pay online via credit card or e-transfer, start your course today, complete the online portion, and schedule your in-car lessons via our online booking system. There is no need to have a full G License to attend the BDE Course and to get a BDE certificate. Depending on your driver’s license, all drivers who have completed a BDE Course at the G1 level can reduce their waiting time at this level by around 12 to 8 months. As required by MTO regulations, it requires students attending this course to complete the BDE process within one year.

How can I get my G2 in 8 months?

All drivers wishing to become fully licensed in Ontario must complete a driver training process called the Graduated Licensing System (GDL). During this process, it is necessary to pass the G1 Written Test (also known as the G1 knowledge test), G2 and G road tests. If you get these pieces of training from MTO-approved driving schools, the process of obtaining a driver’s license will be shorter. For example, it is possible to obtain your G2 license one year after receiving your G1 license under normal circumstances. However, if you complete the BDE course, there are two significant advantages. The first of these is that a person with a G1 driver’s license can reduce the time to participate in the G2 road test from 12 months to 8 months. In other words, the period can be shortened by 4 months, and a person can get G2 in 8 months. The second important advantage is that those who have completed the BDE course and received an MTO certificate can get a discount when insuring their car.

How many times can you fail your G road test (G2 exit test) in Ontario?

Briefly; there is no limit to repeating this test. Anyone who has failed the G road test should wait at least 10 days to take the test again. In the meantime, it would be useful for you to work harder. We kindly and strongly recommend trying our experiences (including ex-examiner) in-car training instructors to feel comfortable before your road test. The 10 days can be extended only according to your request or the tightness of the appointment calendar.

How do I get my driving school certificate from Service Ontario?

When you have completed our BDE course, you will be given online approval by Master Driving School. Thanks to this online report, it will also be determined by the Ministry of Transport that you have completed your driving school. However, to get official and written proof that you have completed the course, you must obtain your Driver’s License History from any Service Ontario Office building or request your official document by mail. The most important aspect here is that the Driver’s License History certificate can only be obtained by the driver’s license holder.

Is it mandatory to take lessons from a driving school in Ontario?

NO, it is not a must to go to a driving school to get your driver’s licence, but it is always recommended that learning from experienced instructors and taking comprehensive courses make people more knowledgeable and comfortable on the road. Enrolling in a Ministry-approved driving school is recommended due to the efforts of the government to improve road safety and reduce traffic accidents. The most important advantage of enrolling in a MTO-approved driving school is to be able to start the G2 road test only 8 months after passing the G1 written test. If you do not get this driver’s education, you will have to wait a total of 12 months. Master Drivers is one of the approved driving schools and offers both online courses and in-car lessons in multiple locations in multi-languages.
